Hey girl, thanks for joining me here. Here’s the tea on me…

As an Asian American woman and a highly sensitive child, I grew up feeling a little out of place. I was always in between two worlds — at home, I felt connected to my asian roots and outside of home, I felt different. Alone and with friends, in my imagination and worried about my responsibilities… it felt confusing to navigate.

Early on, I learned that being different was what separated you, and out of wanting to avoid painful experiences, I decided to blend in. As an empathic child, I took on feelings, ideas, and beliefs about life that weren’t originally mine, and later in life, had to unravel, heal, and rewrite these limiting stories that were rooted in insecurities, family, society, and in multi-generational trauma.

But, by listening to life and my heart, I started to learn tools and practices of self-love, self-care, and self-discovery.

Even when I felt lost, confused, and didn’t know who I was, I could still lean into the things that gave me joy, interested me spiritually, and inspired me to grow into the woman I am today.

This path of self-discovery and self-love led me to feeling more confident, happier, and connected to my soul purpose. And now, when the young version of Linh feels stuck or in pain, I have the tools to pull her out and support her in remembering what it means to be her Soulthentic self — connected to her heart, her soul, and purpose. And I want that for each one of us too.
