Chakras as a Primary Tool for Healing
Did you know you can pinpoint where pains, emotions, or spiritual blockages are coming from through the chakra system of the body?
Just like what @iamsahararose says in her book Discover Your Dharma, she speaks about how the chakra system can help you come into balance with your mind, body, and spirit.
If we use the chakras as a tool to bring awareness into our lives, we can take responsibility for what the body is telling us. Not only that, the added bonus is that we can use the chakras to understand what our life purpose is… imagine if your body is actually just teaching you what you need to know for what you’re meant to do in this lifetime.
Here are some examples of how the chakra system navigates you to look at your own body —
Root chakra rules our connection to the Earth, our feet, our elimination system, trust, community, safety, physical body, blood, roundedness
When we are out of balance here, one may experience feeling ungrounded, dizziness, lack of trust, feeling disconnected from self and others, nervousness, anxiety, lack of self-love, paranoia
Sacral chakra rules as the sexual energy center relates to the reproductive system and organs, creativity, passion, drive, sensuality, and feeling connected to one’s desires
When we are out of balance here, one may experience low or high libido (if deficiency or excess), a lack of creativity or passions, menstrual issues, hormonal imbalances, frustration, chronic fatigue, locked up hips, water retention
Solar plexus rules the diaphragm and intestinal regions, it relates to having boundaries, determination, action-oriented, courage, truth
When we are out of balance here, one may experience lack of boundaries with all things (food, relationships, work), chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal conditions (diarrhea, constipation), frustration, emotional and hormonal imbalances, tension in shoulders, neck, back region, indecision, tightness in muscles and tendons
Heart chakra rules the heart and chest, it relates to having courage, being kind-hearted, feeling joy and love
When we are out of balance here, one may experience chest pains (can be dull, sharp, achy), lack of joy, lack of purpose, insomnia, vivid dreams, palpitations, anxiety, difficulty breathing, chest tightness, mouth ulcers
Throat chakra rules speaking one’s truth, relates to the throat and the neck, it is all about expression into the physical form
When we are out of balance here, one may experience thyroid issues, TMJ, emotional imbalance, swollen lymph nodes, more frequent strep throat infections
Third eye chakra rules intuition, being able to gain clarity through inner visions and imaginatiion, relates to the pineal gland
When we are out of balance here, one may experience fatigue, sluggishness, lack of courage and strength to make decisions, lack of clarity, feelings of being disconnected from guidance
What are a few things that can be done to help strengthen or balance the chakra systems?
As your next meditation, connect to the chakras by imagining the color of each to fill the room you are in. By focusing on the color, we can connect with the chakras this way; bringing the frequency of the color into our body and this energetic system.
Another way is to use your voice to activate the chakra system. Through the chakra seed syllables: LAM, VAM, RAM, YAM, AUM, OM, AH or a hu
Have you ever used chakras as a way of healing? How has it worked for you?
Blessings ahead,
