Exploring the Ancestral Connections to Our Experience
Have there been times where you experienced something and felt that it was deeply tied to something and someone other than you?
This visceral feeling is a sign that there is ancestral ties under the surface of what is being felt. There is a moment of time where we must honor our past, where we must understand where we came from, and why. This honoring, even when it feels difficult and sticky, can leap us into a stronger and whole version of ourselves.
Ancestral healing is more than understanding your ancestors and what they went through. It is recognizing that their experiences are a part of why you are here. It is acknowledging the ultimate lows of their experience that capsules their pain, suffering, and sacrifice, also it is being grateful for their moments of bliss because without all of these experiences, you may be where you are now.
Trauma gets stored in the senses, the tissues, and the muscles of our being which then gets passed down from our ancestors & parents. This has been researched and proven that our senses are where the feelings, emotions, and traumas will be stored. There are also deep ties to the ancestral healing and the epigenetic research as well. When we are able to transcend the energy that comes up for us when we are confronted with, our nervous systems regulate to that as our new norm. We essentially rewrite and adapt to a new way of being.
What we feel could be rooted in deeper truth, it could be stemming from the experiences of our ancestors.
Now you may be asking what to do about these intense moments,
👉 where we are deeply feeling fear, pain, shock, or depression that has been difficult to understand and alleviate
👉 where we are aware of the traumas that our father & mother
👉 where we are exploring our own experience with trauma
👉 where we may feel an awakening happening within us
If you are at any of these moments, then know you are not alone.
In fact, your experience is so common and not talked about.
What can help us through these times?
