New Moon in Gemini

Today is May 30th, 2022.

Our words are seeds.

Have you ever thought about the way Spirit communicates with you? Spirit sends us metaphors as ways to show us what to do.

When reading the book on Shamanic Journeying by Sandra Ingerman, she speaks about how Spirit shares with her the intuitive messages on gardening. She took this literally and began to garden, even though she was traveling lots and did not live on fertile land. However, she later realized that Spirit was telling her to cultivate the garden of her life and her mind, rather than her to the external land.

It made her realize that her words were seeds she was planting into her life and others everywhere she went. In this lesson, Spirit wanted her to become more aware of the garden she was planting — was she planting seeds of love, hope, and optimism or seeds of fear?

Gemini is the sign of communication, words, and what we say to ourselves and other people. It is the activity and thoughts of the mind that may cause us to feel our emotions, stimulating the Cancer energy within us.

The New Moon is a way for us to go within ourselves to reflect, introspect, and renew ourselves with the natural shade of the Moon. During this time, we can peel off old skin that does not serve us and plant seeds for the next month.

After attending a special women’s circle and reflecting on my time there, I remembered a short conversation and the words that I shared with a woman who was feeling anxious and seeking clarity about her future. I reminded her of the medicine that this Moon phase holds.

The words that came through were, “remember that the New Moon holds the energy of new beginnings so hold this intention of clarity and plant it like a seed into the garden of your mind and it will happen this month — call it in” and just like that, I reminded her to step into the seat of her own power.

Wrapped around the Gemini season and the spirit of the Air element with a taste of Mercury Retrograde sauce on our cosmic plate, don’t be afraid of going deeper with yourself and asking the questions:

Where am I now?

Where do I want to go?

Is what I’m doing now in my life aligned with where I want to go?

How can I become more conscious of the words I speak as these are seeds I plant for the future?

We can use this time as a way to step into how we want to speak, communicate, write, and create in the world in a new way. We can reinvent ourselves or even pull out the aspects of ourselves that we’ve been hiding in the dark. We can step into the world with new eyes and be vulnerable with ourselves, and this leads to the most growth.

Whether you are undergoing transition or in soft introspection, you are supported and guided in this moment.

May this find you with love, and so it is.
