Unblock | Somatic Chinese Medicine - 3 Sessions
Receive Trauma-informed body-based practices with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Aimed to nurture resiliency, healing, and processing energetic blocks.
By listening to our body’s wisdom and being held in our sometimes painful experiences, we cultivate the capacity to handle stress, overcome challenges, and bounce back from failures or traumatic experiences.
These sessions are based on the Tao of Trauma principles and practices. It is where the Eastern principles of the Five Elements Chinese Medicine meet the western neurobiology approach to supporting clients who have experienced, but not limited to, traumatic stress.
What is the Tao of Trauma?
According to IntegrativeWorks and Alaine Duncan, the Tao of Trauma is an East-meets-West approach to restoring balance and regulation in survivors of traumatic stress.

How do you know this work is for you?
Often times, we may face signs and symptoms in our body & emotions that may be manifestations of traumatic stress including odd pain patterns, autoimmune illness, insomnia, obesity, digestive upset, anxiety, depression, and cognitive disturbance.
Additionally, if you have been experiencing difficulties with past challenges and emotions, or even feeling creatively stuck, or facing multi-generational trauma, then this work may be supportive.
What will sessions be like?
As a non-invasive, gentle body-based approach similar to mindfulness meditations to support embodiment, mind-body balance and regulation, sessions will be done online.
Each session will be crafted and personalized to what your needs are.
Sessions will start with a open space to share what it is present, then a brief introduction to the practice and guidance.
In our time together, you will receive…
✧ Recordings of the sessions
✧ 3 Sessions of 45 Minute Sessions
✧ A safe space to explore your health, your feelings, and life experiences
✧ Follow-up support through email or text
Resilience helps us maintaining a positive outlook, finding meaning in difficult situations, and using challenges as opportunities for growth and learning.
